The Story Behind Our Name

“Kinetics” refers to the study of motion in physics. Specifically, Kinetic Art is a type of art that depends on movement to have its desired effect. Traditionally, this refers to art pieces like sculptures that may move with air, battery, or by touch. In the context of our dance company, we’re playing on this concept metaphorically.

Our mission as a company is to professionalize fusion dance forms and leverage dance as a form of communication.
